I went on a very good course recently, organised by the Business Gateway of Scottish Borders Enterprise, all about Social Networking.
No good going on these types of courses unless you get something from them, and I found this one to be very good and stimulating. Facebook and Twitter came into the course and I did try and set up a Facebook account, but somehow I manged to get it wrong and it came up under my own name and I had wanted it to come up under Cuddybridge Apple Juice!
I now have to wait ‘ 2 weeks in case I want to change my mind’. However I have lived without Facebook for long enough, so 2 more weeks won’t make much difference!
Fortunately, I have a computer ‘guru’, known to all and sundry as Big J-or to give hime his full title Big John. Big J has set up a Twitter account for me (all via his IPhone, because I made such a lollipop of Facebook I thought it might happen again. I can’t even manage to do it on a full blown computer and yet Big J did it on his mobile…probably whilst eating his tea!).
I have now sent 2 tweets (got the patter already!) and hopefully many more will follow.
If you want to contact me, then by all means use Twitter (or Facebook in about 3 weeks). Please don’t worry if I get into a bit of a jmess the first time, but remember, us oldtimers, will get there in the the end.
My ‘handle’ (see..I’m flying high now) is Cuddybridge, ’cos you can’t get a a long title such as Cuddybridge Apple Juice, on Twitter.
However Cuddybridge is good enough.
Happy Tweeting.
